Radford Bed

The Radford Bed, located in the thunderegg-rich hills of Crook County, Oregon, is known for producing medium to large nodules with bold, earthy interiors. Thundereggs from this site often contain dense agate in shades of brown, red, and gray, sometimes accented with moss or subtle banding. The matrix tends to be rough and weathered, giving the uncut eggs a rugged, desert-worn appearance. While not as widely circulated as material from some neighboring beds, Radford thundereggs are valued by cutters for their stability and rich, grounded color palette.
